The Mission

Combine historical and contemporary media elements that celebrate the compelling action-oriented series and engage the heavily male demographic with all-new content.

The Challenge

Travel on-site to to the Irish set and capture compelling content amidst the series’ tight production timelines; collaborate with noted Viking historians to further the real, historical narrative; and use interactive elements to create engaging viewer experiences on Blu-ray.

The Results

Answering the challenge of 20th Century Fox, Thinkwell Media worked closely with The History Channel and the creator of Vikings, Michael Hirst, over 5 seasons of celebrated television to create an array of behind-the-scenes media that supported and augmented the series narrative. Season 6 work begins soon.
